Sn0wbreeze is considered as the unofficial PwnageTool for Windows and just like PwnageTool it allows users who want to jailbreak iPad and also unlock their iPhone to update their device with a pre-jailbroken iOS 4.2.1 ipsw file as well as preserve the unlockable baseband of their device from getting upgraded so that it can be unlocked using Ultrasn0w.

How to Untethered Jailbreak iPad on iOS 4.2.1 Using Sn0wbreeze 2.2
Step 1: Download iOS 4.2.1 and the recently launched Sn0wbreeze 2.2 from the download link posted below.
Step 2: Launch iTunes and sync your iOS device with your PC so that it backs-up all your important data, which includes your settings, contacts, photos, music, and photos.
Step 3: Launch Sn0wbreeze 2.2 jailbreak tool.
Step 4: Connect your iPad into the computer via USB.
Step 5: A splash screen will appear and it will tell that the software is not for commercial use. Just click OK and click on the blue arrow to continue.
Step 6: Now, point Sn0wbreeze to the stock iOS 4.2.1 that you have downloaded. Just click on “Browse” and select it and click the blue arrow. Please wait while the application is identifying your iOS device and model by examining the firmware file.
